The ACT is not the SAT

Three things that change how you study

If you have already looked at the SAT, these are the differences that actually change what you practice.

01

It moves faster

English gives you 50 questions in 35 minutes — about 42 seconds each. Reading and Math work out near 67 seconds a question, Science near 60. The way to get faster is to know the move before you start reading, which is what the lessons here drill.

02

Science is a choice

Science is an optional section, and it does not count toward your Composite. Taking it adds 40 minutes and gives you a Science score and a STEM score. We treat it as a decision you make, not a section we assume.

03

No formula sheet

Nothing is printed at the front of the Math section for you. Every formula you use, you brought with you — so the geometry and statistics modules make you recall them rather than look them up.

04

Hints that teach

Hints reveal one useful step at a time, so you can recover the question yourself instead of jumping straight to the answer.

05

Smart mistake review

Missed questions come back on a spaced schedule. On a test this fast, the points come from errors you have already made once.

06

Calm full-length tests

10 timed tests switch to a quieter interface — English, Math, Reading, and Science if you want it — with a 1–36 Composite estimate and a full answer review.

Every student deserves a fair shot.

This site exists because a tutoring package costs about $2,000 and a lot of families do not have it. There are no paywalls, no ads, and nothing about you is sold. Practice is saved in this browser, and the site keeps working when your connection drops.
