Full-length practice tests
10 complete, timed tests at the real length of the enhanced ACT: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science if you are taking it — 171 questions, four answer choices throughout, no grid-ins.
How each test works
- English: 50 questions, 35 minutes.
- Mathematics: 45 questions, 50 minutes — a calculator is allowed here and only here.
- Break, then Reading: 36 questions, 40 minutes.
- Science (optional): 40 questions, 40 minutes. It does not count toward your Composite.
- Composite estimate on the 1–36 scale — the average of English, Math and Reading — plus a full answer review.
Questions are sampled to ACT's published content blueprint for each section. ACT publishes two different figures for the Mathematics split between Preparing for Higher Math and Integrating Essential Skills; these forms follow the 80/20 blueprint it states directly.
These are study estimates, not official ACT scores. ACT publishes a different raw-score conversion for every form, so no single chart is exact.
Science is an add-on you choose when you register for the real test, so it is a choice here too. Leaving it out cannot lower your Composite — but some colleges ask for the score, and the STEM score needs it.
